Description

Grace Design Studios is looking to add an experienced Construction Administrator with expertise in Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) to our Fort Myers, Florida team, covering projects throughout Southwest Florida. Grace has a long history of successful projects and repeat clientele in numerous market sectors, including healthcare, hospitality, senior living, K-12 education, higher education and athletics, corporate, civic, religious, and industrial. Responsibilities

  • Quality Assurance/Quality Control: Develop and implement QA/QC procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and building codes. Conduct regular inspections and audits to monitor construction activities and materials for quality and adherence to design documents.
  • Construction Administration: Oversee and manage the construction phase, conducting site visits and ensuring that the construction aligns with approved plans and specifications. Collaborate with the project team, including architects, contractors, and consultants, to resolve construction-related issues promptly.
  • Document Review: Review and approve contractor submittals. Evaluate Requests for Information (RFIs) and provide timely responses to address design-related questions during construction.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of construction activities, inspections, and QA/QC processes. Generate regular reports on construction progress, issues, and resolutions for project stakeholders.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Construction Management preferred
  • 10-15 years of experience
  • Thorough knowledge of construction techniques, building materials, methods, and best practices
  • Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and industry standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong leadership skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Exceptional organization, attention to detail, multi-tasking, and time management skills
  • Well-versed in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and contracts
  • Revit/ AutoCAD skills a plus
