Clark County 911 Call Center
The 14,750 SF 911 Emergency Facility in Charlestown, Indiana consists of a business center, large training area, emergency vehicle maintenance and storage area and a hardened Call Center. This hardened Call Center was constructed to withstand an EF-5 tornado hit and remain operational as the County Emergency Response Command Center. A portion of the business center is used as a regional training area, accommodating up to 48 emergency responders per training session. Metal building construction was used in the non-hardened areas to help keep the building as cost-efficient as possible. Exposed ICF walls were used in the hardened area to provide the required structural integrity while also remaining cost efficient.
