The City of New Orleans is moving forward with Phase III of its rebuilding effort for justice facilities damaged by Hurricane Katrina. Construction has commenced on the Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Office Medical Services facility, an 89-bed unit designed to serve both male and female inmates. This new facility will connect seamlessly with the existing Phase I and Phase II structures. Owned by the City of New Orleans and operated by the Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Office, the project is both complex and eagerly anticipated. To ensure the highest standards of functionality and operational quality, GHC has engaged with City and OSPO staff throughout the design process.
