Tarleton State University Southwest Regional Dairy Center

The Dairy Center and Academic Facility on Tarleton State University's campus enhances collaborative learning and research for agricultural education. Featuring classrooms, laboratories, and dairy facilities, this center facilitates production, research, and education. With a capacity to house 300 cows initially, the dairy center is designed to accommodate gradual growth as funding and resources allow. A spacious classroom/conference room provides a dedicated space for students, researchers, and observers to convene and discuss pertinent topics. The facility also includes offices, research and teaching laboratories, and a locker room for added functionality. In addition to housing barns for cattle and support facilities, the center boasts a milking parlor and a high-tech system of pens designed to streamline cattle sorting. The layout is visitor-friendly, offering opportunities for guests to learn about the dairy industry firsthand.
