The Living and Learning Center provides University of Kentucky students an opportunity to live and learn together in an integrated academic residential environment.

Recognizing that college students learn both in and out of the classroom, the building provides a dynamic residential experience. The design team created spaces for the creative minds at the University including a large performance studio, creative writing studios, music practice rooms, and an art education studio. The large room designated as a dance studio/black box theatre is equipped for distance learning and video projection.

In these spaces, the students are able to host open mic nights, visiting artist workshops, student showcases and artistic collaborations. This project was in association with Sherman Carter Barnhart.
