Missouri University of Science & Technology Welcome Center
Grace Design Studios was engaged by Missouri University of Science and Technology to design a new Welcome Center. The University has a national reputation and prominence for the quality of their engineering education. The campus is working diligently to align their facilities with the excellence of the educational experience. The Welcome Center is located in the heart of a new arrival court, supports the University’s recruitment goals and creates a positive first-impression for potential students.

New students are welcomed by a large, light-filled three-story lobby space with ample seating and displays of student technology projects. The lobby is also a pre-function area for the large event space that serves potential students and as a venue for special campus functions.
An outdoor plaza supports the event space, and a “front porch” lets students gather outdoors. The Admissions Department has relocated to this facility in office spaces and meeting rooms on the second and third floors. The Welcome Center is supported by convenient underground parking and access to a prominent campus walkway for campus tours.
