This project for Polk State College is a multi-phased four-story Health Sciences Academic Building for Polk State’s new Northeast Ridge Campus in Haines City, Florida. The new building will include spaces for industry needed allied health programs, such as Radiography, Sonography, Respiratory Therapy, Cardiovascular Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Healthcare Information, and Nursing. Along with the program specific labs and classrooms, the building will house an augmented and virtual reality lab as well as an Interdisciplinary Simulation Patient Environment for all of the Allied Health programs to share and utilize. The new facility will also include a large multi-purpose room, general education classrooms, computer classrooms, a tutoring center, student lounge, student services, and faculty and administration offices. Once completed, this project will provide students and instructors a modern, state-of-the-art teaching and learning environment.
