Polynesian Resort Renovations & Addition
The renovations and expansions of the iconic Polynesian Resort reimagined this beloved destination while preserving its rich heritage and immersive theming. The project featured a complete transformation of the Great Ceremonial Hall, enhancing its architectural presence and guest experience. A new Trader Vic’s Tiki Bar was introduced, adding to the resort’s vibrant atmosphere. Enhancements extended to the existing pool, with upgraded amenities and landscaping to create a more luxurious and engaging space.
A significant aspect of the renovation was the conversion of three guestroom buildings into Disney Vacation Club (DVC) studios, which included the addition of new entry identity canopies that seamlessly integrated with the resort’s aesthetic. A second pool and private cabanas were also added, elevating the guest experience with expanded recreational opportunities.
One of the most remarkable additions was the construction of 21 DVC bungalows built over the Seven Seas Lagoon, offering a unique overwater retreat with stunning views, direct water access, and a seamless blend of Polynesian-inspired design and modern luxury. Throughout the project, meticulous attention to detail ensured that every element aligned with Disney’s high standards for storytelling, guest engagement, and quality.
